I can see it now, The Obama campaign can produce ad after ad about how Romneycare was not only the blueprint for Obamacare but the Republican nominee partnered and collaborated with the Liberal Lion of the Senate, Ted Kennedy to design the disastrous Massachusetts health care reform known as Romneycare.

If Ted Kennedy was the ‘Lion of the Senate’ the American people were his prey. And if Mitt Romney is the answer to Obama, what is the question?
Remember when George W. Bush tongue bathed Kennedy’s backside, giving him credit for ‘No Child Left Behind’? This is the same thing. Kennedy was the mastermind behind most of the disasters in this country.
This presidential contest during the most consequential of times is making me ill. Even after the establishment republicans have witnessed the destruction and division brought about by Obama they march like lemmings to the sea.
We’re totally fucked. The republic is finished.

I don’t think Romney really has the backbone to move to the right, even if he had a Congressional majority. By contrast Reagan accomplished the bulk of his agenda while he had to deal with a Democratically controlled Congress. Leadership at the top really matters.
