Julia, oh Julia, the Heritage Foundation looks at what could be a better life for Julia

President Obama’s team introduced the “Life of Julia,” a portrayal of a liberal vision of life for one woman. In response the Heritage Foundation has released a version which shows how conservative policies, like the ones outlined in Heritage’s Saving the American Dream plan, can empower Julia and all Americans without government interference at every stage of life. Obama Walking the Plank of His Own Making. Fellow Democrats Sawing Plank.

Schadenfreude.  It’s what’s for dinner.

Democrats are running away from Obamacare, which will likely be ruled unconstitutional in June.

Sen. Jim Webb said the law would be Obama’s “biggest downside” in the election and had cost him “a lot of credibility as a leader.”

Some of us were at your office, providing such advice to this affect during the run up to this vote, Jimmy.  I saw you walking down the hallway towards your office and once you saw us gathered outside your office you ran from us.  We were there and we were ignored.  Now you hike up your skirt and run away from a re-election bid because you know you screwed up big time.

No worries though, mate.  We’ll release the same fury against your replacement candidate, Timmy Kaine, that we would have on you.  Timmy is a big Obama guy.  Big Obama guys don’t do so well with the electorate since 2008.

And then there’s this from former Congressman Artur Davis from Alabama.

“I think the Affordable Care Act is the single least popular piece of major domestic legislation in the last 70 years,” he said. “It was not popular when it passed; it’s less popular now.”

And now Democrats are running away from President Obama’s blockage of the Keystone XL Pipeline.  Funny how constituent feedback about the pain at the pump brings new wisdom to even the most radically green Democrats.

Sharks are swirling below the plank.  Sharks of Obama’s own creation.  Shutting down and restricting coal fired power plants isn’t going to help, either.  When electricity rates ‘necessarily skyrocket’ (your words, not mine) going into the cooling season, this will add more pressure.  Coal fired power plants are shutting down because of Obama.

When GSA employees lavishly waste taxpayer money and flaunt it on You Tube, that doesn’t help either.

When Obama uses the Justice Department to promote illegal gun running resulting in the deaths of American border and ICE agents and this Justice Department turns a blind eye to voter intimidation perpetrated by the Black Panthers while harassing states over voter ID laws and immigration enforcement laws, that doesn’t help either.

When Obama racks up $5 Trillion in debt in 3 years, tosses our money at pet projects that are massive failures like Solyndra, LightSquared, and others, that doesn’t help either.

When Obama takes an unprecedented number of vacations while the ranks of the unemployed moved from gainful employment and self esteem onto demeaning government dependency, well that don’t much help, either.

You know what, Champ?  You’re doomed.  If your cratering poll numbers don’t advise you, then your own party distancing themselves from you certainly does.

America’s got a big party planned for November 6th.

You’re not invited.

Obama’s lecture to the Supreme Court filled with ignorance, apathy, and good ol’ Chicago style community organizer thuggery

Today, President Obama, after listening to the president of Mexico brag about great the Mexican socialist health care system is, decided to threaten the Supreme Court of the United States of America. That’s right, the head of the executive branch decided to bully the co-equal judicial branch and in doing so he showed his extreme ignorance or more likely, apathy of our history and our constitution and the way our three branch federal government operates. The president stated, ”Ultimately, I am confident that the Supreme Court will not take what would be an unprecedented, extraordinary step of overturning a law that was passed by a strong majority of a democratically elected Congress.”

First of all, the president is well aware that this legislation passed by the slimmest of margins with no Republican votes.Secondly,of course there are plenty of precedents of the court upholding the constitution by overturning laws (all of which were passed by a majority of a democratically elected congress) they deemed to be unconstitutional. In Marbury v. Madison in 1803, Chief Justice John Marshall laid down the doctrine of judicial review. In the 209 years since, the Supreme Court has invalidated part or all of countless laws on grounds that they violated the Constitution including sixteen pieces of FDR’s New Deal legislation.

It was very telling that in defending his Big Fucking Deal legislation, Obama seems more than willing to ignore the rule of law and the law of economics in striving to reach his desired ends, he said, “So there’s not only an economic element and a legal element, but a human element to this,” Obama said. “Hopefully, that’s not forgotten in this political debate.”

This should not be surprising from the same man who has professed, “The Warren Court interpreted that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties. Says what the states can’t do to you. Says what the federal government can’t do to you, but it doesn’t say what the federal government or state government must do on your behalf, and that hasn’t shifted and one of the, I think, the tragedies of the civil rights movement was because the civil rights movement became so court focused I think there was a tendency to lose track of the political and community organizing and activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalitions of powers through which you bring about redistributive change. In some ways we still suffer from that.”

Bill Whittle Throws Down the Gauntlet

This is his finest Afterburner yet and that’s saying something.

In ‘Merchants of Despair’ he catalogs all of the major misdeeds and malevolence of the Obama administration and at the end he speaks to you conservatives that sit on the couch on election day.

How do we find these bellyaching nonpartisipants, register them to vote and get them to the polls this November? That is the challenge and the only solution to our national despair.

And of course, as I always do when I post a new Whittle video, I urge you to go to PJTV and become a subscriber.

NBC Today. The Obamarometer.

Want to know how poorly Obama’s lawyer did at the Supreme Court yesterday? Just watch the Today Show.

They talked about the crazy Jet Blue pilot, Trayvon Martin…again, House Speaker John Boehner’s personal relationship with Barack Obama and Christie Brinkley’s catfight with her ex-husband.

The most consequential Supreme Court case in decades is being argued, with the very constitutionality of Obama’s signature piece of legislation in question and not a peep from NBC.

OK. Not entirely true. The brief reading of the headlines mentioned that a part of the law may be in trouble.

Yeah. The part that funds all of Obamacare. Without it, the law is toast.

Nice job, peacock. Nice job.

Craziness in the Nation’s Capitol

It was an historic, crazy and entertaining day at the Supreme Court.  I was clicking pics on my iPhone and emailing them to Bryan Preston over at PJ Media throughout the Americans for Prosperity rally and those can be seen here.

I’m going to tease you a bit with more pics from the AFP rally, but I’ve got lots of video to sort through from being amongst the Obamaggots at the Supreme Court itself, which was a few blocks away from the AFP rally.

It will take some time to mash up all the video I took and I hope to provide something tonight, or at least get it mostly done tonight and it’ll show up tomorrow.  (I’m one guy here.  Gimme a break.)

Let’s just say that early today, when we were at the Supreme Court most of the participants appeared to be college age kids looking for a party and when pressed they weren’t very informed.  But they certainly dance and chant as instructed by their ‘minders’.  Lots of energy, too.

But there numbers were smallish, even though they were provided signage and breakfast by NOW, SEIU, Planned Parenthood and others.  McMartin may have a great scoop about payments being made to participants, but he had to go to his daughter’s birthday party tonight, so stay tuned for that.

We outnumbered the ObamACORNs decisively today.  At least 5 to 1.

Enjoy these pics whilst I have some dinner and then get to work.

Let’s just say there’s a very, very special UTERUS waiting for you people once I get done.

And Breitbart was there….

 .

Stay tuned for more.

Henry and Martin’s Excellent Adventure

We’re headed up to the Supreme Court tomorrow morning, along with a few other patriots on the day that the Supremes hear oral arguments about the Indvidual Mandate component of Obamacare.

The leftist Obama Corps is already entrenched, having been dispatched by Obama’s thug Army, the SEIU, AFSCME and the usual leftist cheerleaders.

We hope to mix it up with the other side a little.  Do you think we can get them to say something stupid for the video camera?

With gasoline priced as it is and the distance we have to travel we wouldn’t be heading up there if it wasn’t a sure thing.

Then we’ll slide over to the Americans for Prosperity ‘Hands Off Healthcare’ rally.

I’m thinking part A of tomorrow will be much more interesting than part B, but just like sports, anything can happen and that’s why they play the game.

It’ll be a long day and we hope to get something to you as quickly as humanly possible or report back that absolutely nothing happened and that all of us taking the day off and spending all that money on petrol was a waste.

Yeah.

As if.

Sigh. Yet another misleading attack Ad against Paul Ryan

These people are so predictable and the ad itself is really, really bad.

Does anyone wish to inform these morons and the useful idiots seniors that were protesting Ryan that Obamacare cut $575,000,000,000 from Medicare?

Leftists demagogue that conservatives want to cut Medicare, but leftists actually CUT Medicare.

And in spite of all of the manufactured hysteria from the Democrats, Ryan’s budget is still a deficit spending budget. It’s just not as reckless as Obama’s budget.

The Republican budget plan would produce deficits totaling $3.13 trillion over the next 10 years – significantly below the $6.39 trillion in deficits that the Congressional Budget Office says Obama’s fiscal 2013 budget plan would produce.

And never mind the fact it has been 1055 days (nearly 3 years) since the Democratically controlled Senate has passed a budget.

Conservative working women reject the welfare state, Democrats painfully befuddled.

Last night on MSNBC, DNC hack Karen Finney was in anguish when informed that in Alabama, 49% of working women voted for Rick Santorum. She then went on to insinuate that these women are just ignorant of the real message. She said, “yes, there’s the economy, but if you’ve got to worry about basic health care, how are you going to be able to do what you need to do as far as having a job, paying your rent, and taking care of your kids.”

What these progressives fail to understand is that conservative men and women believe that a robust economy is the key to enabling them to earn a living and provide food, housing, and health care for themselves and their families.

Mark Steyn on Flukemania

The always insightful and hilarious Mark Steyn finally weighs in on the charade surrounding the 30 year old child, Sandra Fluke’s perfectly sensible demand that we pay for her contraception and that a Catholic institution should be forced to violate its religious principles in order to accommodate her. That president Obama and the Democrats gleefully used this useful idiot to advance their big government desires granting the plebes protection for their sexual romps while stealing liberty with the other hand is not really surprising.

Bread and Circus. And Condoms.

Fantastic artwork from iMaksim. Click on the image to embiggen it.

All of us are born with the unalienable right to life, liberty, and a lifetime supply of premium ribbed silky-smooth ultrasensitive spermicidal lubricant condoms. No taxation without rubberization, as the Minutemen said. The shot heard round the world, and all that.

He’ll be filling in for Rush on Monday, so if you don’t want to go read the whole thing, I’m sure a portion of it will be covered then.

Aside from the sheer ridiculousness of the phoney congressional hearing, and aside from the moral implications, and aside from a government imposing tyrannical dictates on the people, the issue Steyn focuses on is whether this debtor nation can afford to do what Obama and the Democrats want to do.

Should we borrow money from China to pay for Sandra Fluke’s rampant promiscuity?
